Hi, I'm Pehel Anand — a rising 11th grader at Orlando Science Middle High Charter with a deep passion for neuroscience and regenerative medicine. I aspire to attend an Ivy League university and pursue a career in medicine, contributing to advancements in neural repair and patient outcomes.
Outside the classroom, I compete in Science Olympiad, lead outreach for the Red Cross Club, participate in Model UN and Student Government, and am a proud member of the National Honor Society. I've also been dancing since the age of four — from ballet to Bollywood.
An independent research project completed through the Center for College and Independent Research (CCIR), exploring neural repair and recovery in the context of spinal cord injuries. Dance has been a central part of my life since the age of four, when I began training at C Studios in ballet, hip-hop, banghra, Bollywood, and traditional styles — building six years of diverse technique.
I currently dance with the Bollywood Dance Academy, where I've performed at major events including Magic halftime games and India Day celebrations, and have shared the stage with renowned artists like Nora Fatehi, Akshay Kumar, Mouni Roy, and Zara Khan.
Dance connects my cultural heritage to my creative life, and continues to be a source of discipline, joy, and expression.
